A person writing a poem

With the help of artist Rhiannon Armstrong, recycle words that were headed for the bin to create a poem of your own.

Using old material from the Southbank Centre, find inspiration and let your imagination run wild as you create something wonderful.

Artist Rhiannon Armstrong and colleagues are on-hand to guide you in the right direction, so don’t worry if you’ve never written a poem before.

And once your poem’s finished, it becomes a GIF to be shared with your friends and family.

Poems Made From Words Found in the Bin is an ongoing project from artist Rhiannon Armstrong and has been running since 2018. The collection of poems continues to grow and some of them can be seen in The Slow GIF Movement collection on Giphy.
