Here are all the details on what supporting us means

Discover all you need to know about supporting us, from Gift Aid to how we handle your information.

Yes – and we’d love it if you did. Under the Gift Aid scheme, we can reclaim the basic rate tax you’ve already paid on your donation. That means that we get an extra 25p for each £1 you give, at absolutely no extra cost to you.

As long as you’re a UK taxpayer, and your donations to all charities and community amateur sports clubs (CASCs) total less than four times the tax you’ve paid in the same tax year, you qualify for Gift Aid. This includes both income and capital gains tax. If you go over that amount, it’s your responsibility to pay any difference.

If you change your name or address, or you no longer qualify for Gift Aid, please contact us as soon as possible. You can cancel your Gift Aid declaration within 30 days of making your donation or purchasing a supporter ticket for an exhibition –  just let us know using the contact details below.

We’re not able to claim Gift Aid on gift Memberships, or on dual Memberships unless both Members live at the same address, or when you name a seat in one of our halls.

There are a few ways that you can support us with Gift Aid. You can make a declaration at the point of purchase when donating online, or buy a supporter ticket for your visit to the Hayward Gallery, or send a completed Gift Aid declaration form to Southbank Centre, Belvedere Road, London SE1 8XX.

If you pay a higher rate of income tax – that means 40% or 45% – you can claim back the difference between the rate you pay and the basic rate, 20%, on the total (gross) value of your donation, via your annual tax return.

US taxpayers can make tax-effective contributions to the Southbank Centre through The American Fund for Southbank Centre Inc., which is incorporated under the laws of the State of New York (State Registration No. 620024) and is a tax-exempt organisation as described in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Thank you for trusting us to spend your money wisely. We commit to efficiently processing your donation, keeping you up to date on how it is making a difference, respecting your contact preferences and safely storing your personal details.

You can find out more about how we ensure our fundraising meets the Fundraising Regulator Code by reading our privacy policy.

When you become a Patron or join our Supporters Circles, your contribution is split between a voluntary donation and a payment for the benefits you receive. The value of the benefits varies according to which support scheme you have chosen to join, and the benefits can be purchased separately. Any amount given over and above this is given freely as a donation and is eligible for Gift Aid.

If you would like more details about the benefit and donation split please contact either
