Teachers’ Focus Group
Become a part of our Teachers’ Focus Group and be at the heart of developing our educational offerings
In return for your valuable expertise and commitment, we provide bursaries, ticket offers, special invitations and first access to our school programming.
We are looking for teachers who can:
- Offer valuable insights and expertise to our creative engagement programmes for schools and teachers across primary, secondary and SEND settings
- Act as critical friends when presented with programme ideas
- Undertake pilot opportunities or mini-action research offered by the Southbank Centre
- Advise the Southbank Centre on programme alignment with key national curriculum requirements
- Get further involved in the Southbank Centre’s cultural programme
What we can offer:
- A bursary of £200 to cover time and expenses for the complete academic year commitment
- Ticket offers and special invitations to shows and events at the Southbank Centre
- First access to the Southbank Centre’s school programmes and opportunities
- Connection with other arts teachers and cultural organisations
The group meets four times per year, twice in person at the Southbank Centre and twice virtually online, with each meeting lasting approx. two hours. Members of the Teachers’ Focus Group are expected to attend each meeting for the duration of the 2023–24 academic year. In between these meetings, we will contact Teachers’ Focus Group members to seek advice on time-sensitive or quick-fire requests, as well as present opportunities to test and sense-check new resources and ideas.

- Wed 19 June 2024 5pm to 7pm in person at the Southbank Centre
