You Belong Here: Public Art
Explore spectacular art across our site for free with thought-provoking works connected to the theme of this year’s summer season, You Belong Here.
In our season inspired by Tavares Strachan’s neon sculpture of the same name, artworks appear inside and outside our buildings to welcome you to the Southbank Centre during the summer months.
Wander your way through works by Strachan, alongside free public art by Florence Blanchard, Serena Brown, Artur Conka, Denman+Gould, Yinka Ilori, Suzie Larke, Olivia Plender and Hank Willis Thomas.
Plus, Jeppe Hein’s much-loved Appearing Rooms fountain returns for some respite from the (hopefully!) sunny weather.
Our summer season is inspired by the unsung stories and forgotten trailblazers celebrated in our Hayward Gallery exhibition Tavares Strachan: There Is Light Somewhere, and takes its name from one of Strachan’s text-based neon sculptures installed on the outside of the gallery.
