Special Edition: The Last Dance

Wed 2 Oct 2024, 8pm

Celebrate the privilege and process of ageing and building community in this poetry session for International Day of the Older Person and National Poetry Day.

The received wisdom is that getting old is bad. If you wish to resist this socially normalised self-sabotage, come and join All Change and Well Versed to celebrate The Last Dance anthology launch, International Day of the Older Person, and National Poetry Day.

Well Versed is a collective of ordinary, extraordinary older people who make and share poetry for connection, escape, solace, witness, protest and fun.

Working with poet Francesca Beard and a very special guest, The Last Dance layers spoken word, music, movement and visuals, ending with a Q&A that invites the audience to discuss arts activism, ageing, care and community.
