Rupert Everett: The American No

Sat 26 Oct 2024, 7.30pm

Rupert Everett presents his first book of stories: seven tales of love and loss, drama and glamour, hope and rejection, from a writer at the height of his powers.

We welcome beloved actor and author Rupert Everett, and chair Kevin Maher, for an entertaining evening of stories that draw inspiration from the world of film and TV.

Everett reads from the book and takes us on an exhilarating journey with a cast of extraordinary characters.

Kevin Maher, Chief Film Critic of The Times, leads the conversation and explores the wealth of film and TV ideas Everett has created over the course of his career, many of which have found their way into the stories in The American No.

Presented in collaboration with the Royal Society of Literature
