Notes on Nature 4: The Human Dimension

Sun 10 Nov 2024, 5pm

In the final talk of four in the Philharmonia Orchestra’s Nordic Soundscapes series, experts hone in our role on Earth.

Could the arts be the most impactful catalyst to empower us to make critical change in our lives?

What is worth sacrificing in order to minimise the harm caused by the climate crisis?

Musician and producer Love Ssega has used songwriting as well as his background in science to campaign for clean air on the South Circular.

Andrew Mellor writes on music, culture and architecture, with a focus on the Nordic countries.

Ahead of the closing concert in the Philharmonia Orchestra’s Nordic Soundscapes series, they challenge you to debate the role of individual artists and arts organisations in addressing the climate crisis, over coffee and cinnamon buns.
