futuretense: Isaiah Shoticaury + IMVN
Serene sounds and soul-searching lyrics take the fore in a performance from two captivating musicians, in this edition of our twice-monthly free gig series.
Isaiah Shoticaury is an unconventional and introspective thinker, who conveys his deepest emotions and sentiments through his musical compositions. With his album YOU NEED 2 SLOW DOWN, Shoticaury sought to explore his true identity through music, while championing the notion that, as creators, there is no need to hasten the creative process.
IMVN is a London born and bred independent artist whose music criss-crosses genres, blending ambient and ethereal electronic elements. With a captivating voice and powerful lyrics, IMVN’s music has drawn comparisons to the likes of FKA Twigs, Sevdaliza, and Kelela. Drawing inspiration from the intricate tapestry of alternative music, her sound is both a homage to and continuation of its history.
