Fantastically Great Women Who Saved the Planet

Part of Imagine Children's Festival

Spark ideas on how to make a positive impact at a workshop with illustrator, author and suffragette descendant Kate Pankhurst.

Pankhurst tells the stories of some of the inspirational women who have dedicated their lives to studying, conserving and protecting Planet Earth and all its living things.

Discover more about ethical products through the story of The Body Shop’s Anita Roddick, the importance of recycling via Isatou Ceesay and the hole in the ozone layer by learning about Edith Farkas, plus much, much more!

Draw, dress up and, most importantly, get lots of inspiration on how to change the world!

Kate Pankhurst illustrates and writes from her studio in Leeds with her spotty dog, Olive.

She loves a good story, the funnier the better, and gets her best ideas by doodling in her sketchbook.

Her book Fantastically Great Women Who Saved the Planet shows that all actions, big and small, can be powerful in the fight against climate breakdown.
