Purcell Sessions: Ben Hayes & Hector Plimmer

Part of Purcell Sessions

Humans and machines collaborate in a performance of composed, improvised and real-time AI-generated music with live audio-reactive visuals.

Get a taste of the future at this AI-assisted audio-visual music performance from experimental electronic artists Ben Hayes and Hector Plimmer, using custom-built technology.

Plimmer’s distinctive visuals demonstrate where human music ends and AI music begins.

In open rehearsals, the pair develop the work and learn from their explorations, then perform as part of our innovative Purcell Sessions series.
