Lynne Cooke: On Bridget Riley

Part of Bridget Riley

Hear US-based curator Lynne Cooke discuss aspects of Riley’s painting in relation to contemporary artistic practice.

Lynne Cooke is currently Senior Curator, Special Projects in Modern Art, at the National Gallery of Art, Washington DC.

In 2000, while a curator at the Dia Center for the Arts, New York, she organised Bridget Riley: Reconnaissance, which focused on key works from Riley’s early career.

At the time, this was the first solo exhibition of Riley’s work to originate in the United States in decades.
