Join us for the launch of Attia’s new photobook of his series The Landing Strip.
It documents the lives of a group of Algerian transgender sex workers living in Paris in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Taken over a period of roughly two years, the images focus on the group’s shared intimacy, and depict ‘moments of joy, of happiness, of hope’.
The publication includes more than 140 illustrations, as well as an essay by Tarek El-Ariss, Associate Professor and Chair of Middle Eastern Studies at Dartmouth University.
This event includes a book signing.
