Members' Private View: Diane Arbus and Kader Attia
Get closer to the intimate and thought-provoking works of our two solo exhibitions away from the crowds at a Members’ private view.
diane arbus: in the beginning explores the first seven years of the photographer’s career and features more than 100 photographs, many of which have never before been exhibited in Europe. Arbus’ photographs are among some of the most intimate, surprising and haunting works of the 20th century.
Kader Attia: The Museum of Emotion – the artist’s first survey show in the UK – traces several strands of Attia’s thought-provoking work from the past two decades. Featuring sculpture, installations, videos and photographs, the exhibition inventively explores the way that colonialism continues to shape how Western societies represent and engage with non-Western cultures.
