The Slumflower: What a Time to Be Alone

Part of WOW – Women of the World

Bestselling author, blogger and campaigner Chidera Eggerue, aka The Slumflower, shares her thoughts on love, life, self-worth and her favourite Nigerian proverbs.

Eggerue discusses her hit novel What a Time to Be Alone, what it’s like to lead a hugely popular online movement – and why being alone might just be the best thing that ever happened to you. The talk is followed by a chance for you to have your burning questions answered by Eggerue in a Q&A session.

Referred to by Elle magazine as a ‘millennial mastermind’, Eggerue created the hashtag #saggyboobsmatter and has over 190,000 followers across her social media accounts.

She has been featured in Elle, Vogue, Grazia and Stylist, regularly updates her own blog, The Slumflower, and recently released her second book, Scribble Yourself Feminist, a journal designed to empower, inspire and entertain.

The talk is hosted by television presenter, DJ and fitness blogger, AJ Odudu.
