Child, the current Waterstones Children's Laureate, is a multi-award-winning, bestselling writer and artist whose books are known and loved the world over. Child published her first book, Clarice Bean, That’s Me, in 1999. Her latest, Hubert Horatio: How to Raise Your Grown-Ups, focuses on boy genius millionaire Hubert Horatio Bartle Bobton-Trent.

At this event, hear her talk about her time as Laureate, as well as best-loved characters and inspirations, in conversation with writer, journalist and broadcaster Nicolette Jones.
