Sergio Mendes + Very Special Guests

Be transported to Brazil at a performance by legend of the 1960s bossa nova revolution Sergio Mendes, who came to stardom with his iconic band Brasil ‘66.

The band’s debut, which included the timeless single ‘Mas Que Nada’, cracked the Billboard top 10. Since then, Mendes has recorded over 35 albums, continuously exploring the very best of music. He has collaborated with artists across genres, including Stevie Wonder, Dave Grusin,, Erykah Badu and John Legend.

Producer, composer, pianist and vocalist Mendes’ signature mix of bossa nova, samba and pop instrumentation has come to define Brazilian music on an international scale. With a career spanning five decades, Mendes’ influence on the music industry continues to evolve. He has won three Grammy Awards and was nominated for an Oscar in 2012 for ‘Real in Rio’.

Mendes brings the poise and class expected from an experienced maestro of the stage, with a show that delivers familiar favourites as well as surprises and newer work.
