The Purcell School Celebrates Oliver Knussen

Paul Hoskins conducts an extraordinary, colourful programme with the Purcell School Symphony Orchestra and award-winning student pianist Milda Daunoraite.

Hoskins recently joined the Purcell School from Rambert, where as Music Director he was known for bold programming.

Sonya Knussen narrates Britten’s Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra; and the teenage composer and winner of BBC Proms Inspire Competition, Sasha Scott, premieres a work influenced by the Ravel and Lutoslawski masterpieces that complete the programme.

The Purcell School is one of the UK’s leading specialist music schools, and holds the UNESCO Mozart Gold Medal in recognition of its contribution to music, education and international culture.
