A Very Polari Christmas

Have yourself a very merry Polari with a festive literary rampage from the beloved LGBTQ+ literary salon, featuring Barbara Brownskirt.

Brownskirt will end her most celebrated year so far with a brussels sprout-infused poetry protest. Despite her recent success, Brownskirt still writes daily at her pop-up office at the 197 bus stop, Croydon Road in Penge.

Joining her are Jane Traies, Darragh Martin, John R Gordon and Susie Boyt.

Barbara Brownskirt is the creation of Karen McLeod, author of In Search of the Missing Eyelash, which won a Betty Trask award. McLeod works with performance art collaborative Duckie and presents her own comedy writing nationwide.

Polari is both storybook and commentary on queer lives devoted to new and established literary talent, with curator and host Paul Burton inviting you to join the mayhem and sparkle for this 2018 finale.
