With easy grace and versatility, Sanjeev Abhyankar has captivated audiences in more than 200 cities with his impassioned renditions of Marathi abhangs, bhavgeets and Hindi-Sanskrit bhajans. Here he performs as part of Monsoon Raga Festival.
By adding his own classical compositions, Abhyankar has contributed to the already existing vast repertoire of Mewati gharana compositions (bandishes). He was recognised by the Indian National Film Awards for his song in the in the Hindi film Godmother.
The concert is the first in a series of collaborative productions between Dhruv Arts, UK, and Banyan Tree, Mumbai.
