The award-winning opera company for people affected by homelessness is back, with a joyful and inspiring performance at Southbank Centre.
Discover that opera is about raw and authentic passion, and the epic emotions of everyday life.
Scenes from world-famous operas by George Gershwin, Philip Glass and Benjamin Britten are presented with spirit, boldness and fun by Streetwise Opera performers, supported by live musicians.
Plus, enjoy the world-premiere of ‘Commuters’, an opera chorus by composer-in-residence Aurora Nishevci, created with participants in Streetwise Opera’s weekly workshops at Southbank Centre and The Passage, a day centre for homeless people.
This performance is part of Streetwise Opera’s Opera Hour series, which includes events in London, Middlesbrough, Gateshead and Nottingham.
