An Evening with Stacey Dooley

Hear stories of incredible women from BBC3 presenter Stacey Dooley on the publication of her paperback, On the Front Line with the Women Who Fight Back.

Dooley has established herself as one of BBC3’s most celebrated presenters through her hugely popular investigative series, covering a wide range of topics. At the core of her reporting are women in extraordinary and scarily ordinary circumstances – from Yazidi women fighting back in Syria to victims of domestic violence in Honduras. In her bestselling first book, the author draws on her encounters, examining issues at the centre of female experience.

Dooley talks about her remarkable career so far, and explores the themes of her book, covering topics such as gender equality, sex trafficking and sexual identity, weaving these global strands together in an exploration of what it is to be a woman in the world today.

Stacey will be in conversation with Viv Groksop. Viv is a writer, broadcaster and stand-up comedian. Her new book, How to Own the Room: Women and the Art of Brilliant Speaking was published in November 2018 to critical acclaim. She has previously hosted book tours for Graham Norton and Jo Brand.
