Bird College Festival of Music 2020

Part of Schools

This event has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.

At a triumphant evening of much-loved musical classics, hear works by Tchaikovsky, Strauss and Brahms alongside jazz standards.

Over 1,000 young performers from the London Borough of Bexley showcase their talents on works including Tchaikovsky’s dramatic 1812 Overture.

The event features performances from across the Bird College Music Service, the lead organisation for the Bexley Music Education Hub.

Joining forces for the finale, it’s the flagship Bexley Youth Orchestra and Bexley Youth Band.

Three primary school groups perform: the Primary Massed Choir, the First Access Ensemble and the Primary Massed Orchestra.

Also performing are the Bexley Secondary Schools Massed Choir, as well as Bird College ensembles, including the Bexley Choir, Intermediate Band and Concert Orchestra.

In addition the Little Big Band performs a selection of jazz standards in the foyer during the interval.
