The first half of of his International Piano Series debut features two of Chopin’s most emotionally compelling works – the Op.48 Nocturnes and his final large-scale composition for the piano – the third Sonata.
The second half opens with Debussy's Estampes in which the composer first begins to explore some of the main elements of the new impressionist style and the recital ends with the exuberant music of Periane's native Spain.
