Family fun

The countdown is on for the return of Imagine Children's Festival – 12 days jam-packed with all kinds of fun for kids and their grown-ups. Meet prehistoric pals and an unstoppable caterpillar, and see old tales with fresh eyes.

Make your mark on our Giant Chalkboard and get in tune at Big Songs for Little Singers – these and many more free events are taking place throughout the festival.

Plus, Soundpit gives kids big and small the chance to create music through movement in a giant sandpit installation illuminated by beautiful graphics, created by artist Di Mainstone.

Look ahead to an egg-cellent Easter, with events including Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler's tales brought to life at Tiddler and Other Terrific Tales, and the side-splitting Comedy Club 4 Kids.
