Stand

Stand has been a fixture on the British and world literary scene since 1952, when the first issue appeared in London. It moved to Leeds in 1960, then to Newcastle, and it is now edited from the School of English at the University of Leeds in collaboration with Virginia Commonwealth University in the USA.

Strix

Strix is a magazine of poetry and short fiction, launched in May 2017. and published three times a year. Editors: SJ Bradley, Ian Harker and Andrew Lambeth.

Tears in the Fence

Tears in the Fence is an internationally recognised independent literary journal established in November 1984. This bi-annual publication includes poetry, prose, translations, reviews and essays by established writers from around the world. Editor: David Caddy.

Temenos Academy Review

Temenos Academy Review comprises a mixture of papers given at the Academy and new work, including poetry, art, and reviews. Editors: John Carey, Hilary Davies and James Harpur.

The Author

The SoA's quarterly journal, The Author, is an invaluable source of information, news and opinion for authors, as well as for publishers, literary agents and other industry professionals. Editor: James McConnachie.

The Betjeman Society Newsletter and Journal

The Betjeman Society aims to promote the study and appreciation of the work and life of Sir John Betjeman by bringing together all those who admire his writings and share his enthusiasms. The Society publishes a regular newsletter and an annual journal. Editor: Steve Jackson.

The Cannon's Mouth

The Cannon's Mouth is the quarterly journal of Cannon Poets. It aims to stimulate interest and encourage the participation of members and the wider community in the writing of poetry and its presentation to the public. Editor: Greg Cox.

The Dark Horse

Founded in 1995, The Dark Horse is an international literary magazine committed to British, Irish and American poetry, and is published from Scotland. Editor: Gerry Cambridge.

The Dawntreader

The Dawntreader is a quarterly, 52-page, perfect-bound literary publication which specialises in myth and legend, landscape, nature, spirituality, love, the mystic and the environment. Editor: Dawn Bauling.

The Frogmore Papers

Founded in 1983, The Frogmore Papers publishes poetry and prose alongside contemporary artwork. Editor: Jeremy Page, with the assistance of Clare Best, Rachel Playforth, and Peter Stewart.

The North

Each issue of The North includes: a lively range of international contemporary poetry by new and established writers; book reviews from mainstream publishers to smaller presses; critical articles; conversations with writers; and blind criticism. Editors: Ann and Peter Sansom

The Poetry Cove

The Poetry Cove Magazine, established in 2022, is a quarterly-issued literary magazine featuring poetry, short stories, essays, opinion pieces, games, contests, poetry news, and more. Anyone can submit their writing for potential feature in the magazine and is open to submissions year round. Editor: Adam Gary.
