What will that sound like? Well even if you weren’t able to join us in June 2023 to get a first hand experience, to help you relive our sonorific summer at the Southbank Centre we’ve pulled together music from all the artists of the festival into one Spotify playlist.

From the art rock of Django Django to the Afropop of Yemi Alade; the anthemic landscapes of Sigur Rós to the electronic soundscapes of Johnny Jewell, via the contemporary London jazz of Kokoroko and the emotive synth of Bat For Lashes. It’s all here, starting where else? But with Christine and the Queens himself.

‘Meltdown is all about inviting audiences and artists into the imagination of the curator, and the music they love. If you’ve ever had a chance to experience the creativity of Christine and the Queens, you’ll know it’s full of fun and joy, but also somewhere to help us make sense of the world around us.’

Adem Holness, Southbank Centre Head of Contemporary Music
