Since she first emerged onto the scene with the Chicago funk outfit Rufus, Khan has won fans for her incredible voice and infectious enthusiasm.

As a solo artist her sound has constantly evolved, with influences from disco, funk, R&B, and jazz guiding Khan on her own distinct musical path and earning her ten Grammy Awards over the course of her remarkable career.

2024 also saw Khan come to the Southbank Centre, as curator of our annual contemporary music festival, Meltdown. For ten summer days she took over musical programming across our venues, bringing her incredible voice and global influence to put her own unmistakable stamp on this corner of London.

And to ramp up the anticipation, and gain a flavour of what we might be able to expect from this inimitable star, we put together a special selection of some of her most memorable work. From the funk-influenced sounds of ‘Tell Me Something Good’, and the irresistible smash ‘Aint Nobody’ with Rufus to her break-out solo hit ‘I’m Every Woman’; from the landmark ‘I Feel For You’, via the 2018 dance hit ‘Like Sugar’ to the jazz standards of her ClassiKhan album. It’s all here in this specially curated Spotify playlist, and guaranteed to get your feet tapping.
