Director of Hayward Gallery, Ralph Rugoff, introduces the first major UK retrospective of Gursky’s work, which was also the first exhibition to take place in the gallery upon reopening in 2018 following our two-year refurbishment.

In this video Rugoff walks you through the exhibition, discussing Gursky’s unique approach to image-making and his large-scale spectacular works which often seem transcend the boundaries between painting and photography.
