Walk on the mild side with Mauritian curry or go cajun for a bit more fire in your belly

Can’t make up your mind? Don’t panic – The Curry Shack will let you have a taste before you buy, for free!

Run by James and Mudzi, all The Curry Shack’s food is freshly made on site each day, traditional and most importantly delicious.

Curries are served with rice and your choice of fresh salad and condiments, and all the dishes are gluten and dairy free.

Southbank Centre Food Market Southbank Centre

Southbank Centre Food Market is open every weekend.

Fridays, 12 noon – 9pm
Saturdays, 11am – 9pm
Sundays, 12 noon – 6pm*
Bank holiday Mondays, 12 noon – 6pm

*On Bank holiday weekends, the market stays open until 9pm on Sundays

Plan your visit

Southbank Centre Food Market is located on Southbank Centre Square, on the Belvedere Road side of our Royal Festival Hall.

Getting here

Our address is Southbank Centre, Belvedere Road, London, SE1 8XX.

The nearest tube stations to us are Waterloo and Embankment; Waterloo is also the nearest train station. And more than 20 different London bus routes pass within 500 metres of our venues.  More information on getting here by rail, road or river is available on our Getting here page.

Cash or card

Though some of our food market vendors accept cash many no longer do, so be prepared to pay with either cash or card to avoid disappointment.

Access

We’re working hard to remove barriers, so that our facilities and events can be accessible to as many people as possible.

All help points, toilets, performance and exhibition spaces at the Southbank Centre are accessible to all, as are the cafes, bars and restaurants. We also have excellent public transport links with step-free access.
