Traditional French crêpes and galettes prepared in front of your eyes

Crêpes à la carte prepare delicious sweet and savoury crêpes which will transport you, momentarily, to a little corner of France.

Go for a traditional, naturally, wheat free galette like La complète, filled with free-range ham, Emmental cheese and an organic egg. Or trying something different – how about La vegan, with mushrooms, spinach and tahini sauce.

For the sweetest ending to your meal or an afternoon pick-me-up, can anything beat a lemon and sugar crêpe? At Eva and Thomas’ stall everything is prepared freshly, cooked while you wait and served in a cardboard cone to make it easy to take away and eat.

Southbank Centre Food Market is open every weekend.

Fridays, 12 noon – 9pm
Saturdays, 11am – 9pm
Sundays, 12 noon – 6pm*
Bank holiday Mondays, 12 noon – 6pm

*On Bank holiday weekends, the market stays open until 9pm on Sundays

Plan your visit

Southbank Centre Food Market is located on Southbank Centre Square, on the Belvedere Road side of our Royal Festival Hall.

Getting here

Our address is Southbank Centre, Belvedere Road, London, SE1 8XX.

The nearest tube stations to us are Waterloo and Embankment; Waterloo is also the nearest train station. And more than 20 different London bus routes pass within 500 metres of our venues.  More information on getting here by rail, road or river is available on our Getting here page.

Cash or card

Though some of our food market vendors accept cash many no longer do, so be prepared to pay with either cash or card to avoid disappointment.

Access

We’re working hard to remove barriers, so that our facilities and events can be accessible to as many people as possible.

All help points, toilets, performance and exhibition spaces at the Southbank Centre are accessible to all, as are the cafes, bars and restaurants. We also have excellent public transport links with step-free access.
