Southbank Centre Youth Voices

Discover the joy of singing with Nathan Devonte and Osnat Schmool

Aged 10 – 18 and curious about singing? Southbank Centre Youth Voices is our free to join choir that’s open to all young people, regardless of experience or ability.

No previous musical experience is necessary – you don’t need to audition or need to know how to read music – just a curiosity to explore your own voice and experience the benefits of singing collaboratively in a group.

With Southbank Centre Youth Voices you get to work with two expert vocal leaders to train and develop your voice. They’ll help you and your fellow choir members explore different ways of learning and making music and discover different types of song and musical style.

Being part of a choir is a great way to make new friends and meet new people. Group singing is uplifting, can develop confidence and a sense of general wellbeing, and be a great way to feel good and escape from daily pressures and stress.

Once the choir has grown in confidence and gelled as a group, we’ll build in performances and opportunities to develop other skills. In time, choir members can lead their own vocal warm-ups, choose the final name of the choir and work with the vocal leaders to help pick which songs and musical genres to explore next.

With generous support from the Karlsson Játiva Charitable Foundation.
