A free six-part creative project to build connections to the world around us
Poems for Our Planet brought art and inspiration to the home in 2023, with poetry and art activities that engaged with nature and the effects of the climate crisis.
Art by Post: Poems for Our Planet was a postal and digital project that produced a series of creative booklets, designed by artists and activists, which guided participants through activities. They used poetry, creativity and nature to inspire and support wellbeing, while also helping readers make connections with the living world around them.

Poems for Our Planet sharing event
In late 2023, we celebrated the culmination of Art by Post: Poems for Our Planet with a special sharing event here at the Southbank Centre, featuring poetry readings, an installation by Ackroyd & Harvey and vinyl poetry.
Poems for Our Planet resources
The project has now ended, so there is no longer an option to send artwork back to the Southbank Centre.
However, all six booklets are available to download. In the booklets, artists and environmental activists guide you through poetry and art activities linked to caring for our planet.
