Plaid are innovative duo Ed Handley and Andy Turner, who have been expanding the realm of electronic music together since the early 1990s when they diverged from trio The Black Dog. In that time they have collaborated with a heap of artists including Björk, The London Sinfonietta and Felix’s Machines.
Mainstays of the Warp label, their tenth studio album, Polymer, released last summer, sees them they forge ever-bolder paths through electronic music. And, at the end of February you get the chance to experience that sound live, as they join us for our first Concrete Lates of the decade in the brutalist Queen Elizabeth Hall Foyer.
Ahead of that gig, the duo kindly put together a special Spotify mixtape playlist for us, with the following message.
‘Our Spotify playlist contains music from some of our favourite artists. It's predominantly recent releases we're listening to at the moment, and it covers a wide variety of styles. We hope you enjoy their work as much as we do!’
