Maurizio Pollini on Beethoven and Debussy

The internationally renowned pianist Maurizio Pollini has been a mainstay of Southbank Centre’s classical music programme for six decades. Ever since he first set foot on our stage in 1963 as a fresh-faced 21-year-old he has been a welcome and regular guest to our halls.

Ahead of a 2017 performance at Royal Festival Hall, Pollini kindly opened the doors of his Milan home and welcomed us in to discuss his upcoming concert, including the work of Chopin, Beethoven and Debussy.
