Introducing the Room for Children

Wednesday, April 12, 2017 - 16:55

Are you sitting comfortably? You will be if you join us for Nordic storytelling in our Room for Children.

In this comfy library, decked with cushions and with plenty of space for play, kids will find a host of children's books from across Nordic countries, both in English and their original languages. And, if you behave, we'll even let adults in too, so you can join your children to read these well-loved stories, attempt puzzles, or play games.

The inspiration for this unique library comes from Rum för Barn (Room for Children) at Stockholm's Kulturhuset (House of Culture).

Situated in The Poetry Library Reading Den at Royal Festival Hall, and available from 11am - 6pm, Room for Children is the latest part of Nordic Matters, our year-long exploration of art culture from Nordic countries.

Room for Children is presented by The Swedish Institute, Kulturhuset Stadsteatern Stockholm and Embassy of Sweden in London.
