Dame Vivian Hunt is the chief innovation officer at UnitedHealth Group. In this role, she works with their technology, growth and strategy teams to pursue new technologies, improve process design, interpret data, apply insights and improve the productivity of their systems.

Before joining UnitedHealth Group, Hunt served as a senior partner for McKinsey & Company, UK and Ireland, where she provided strategic advice to leading firms in the private, public and third sectors, with a particular focus on strategy, innovation and performance transformation. Hunt also served as managing partner for the UK and Ireland for seven years from 2013 – 2020 and prior to that led the firm’s EMEA Life Sciences practice.

She was previously named ‘the most influential Black woman in Britain’ by the Powerlist Foundation. The Financial Times identified her as one of the ‘European Women to Watch’ and, more recently, as one of the 30 most influential people in the City of London.

In 2018, Hunt was appointed Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire for services to the economy and women in business.
